Jammu, Jan 1: In a move to strengthen security preparedness, a joint security drill was conducted at Mamun under the Military–Civil Fusion Capsule, involving the Indian Army, BSF, J&K Police, and Punjab Police.
The exercise focused on enhancing rapid joint response, improving interoperability, and reinforcing operational readiness among multiple security agencies.
Troops of the Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF), Jammu and Kashmir Police and Punjab Police jointly participated in the drill, officials said.
Officials said that multiple aspects of the prevailing security scenario were reviewed during the exercise, with detailed discussions held on challenges along the International Border (IB) as well as the hinterland.
The drill underscored the importance of synergy and seamless coordination among security forces to effectively deal with emerging threats and ensure public safety.
