New Delhi, Jan 1: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said a peace agreement to end the war with Russia is “90% ready,” stressing that the remaining issues will determine “the fate of peace, the fate of Ukraine and Europe,” the BBC reported. In his New Year address, Zelensky said that any deal must not come at the expense of the country’s sovereignty.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his own New Year speech, told Russian troops that Moscow “believes in you and our victory.
”The BBC said the Kremlin claimed it would review its position on peace talks after alleging that Ukrainian drones had targeted Putin’s private residence, an accusation Kyiv has denied.
