Srinagar, Dec 26: The Zonal-Level Firing Competition concluded successfully today at CTC Lethpora, marking the culmination of a competitive and skill-oriented firing event.
During the event, certificates were awarded to the winners and outstanding performers. The certificates were handed over by the Chief Guest, DIG IRP Range Kashmir, Junaid Mahmood (IPS), who congratulated the winners for their excellent performance and appreciated the high standards of professionalism displayed by all participants.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest emphasized the importance of such competitions in sharpening firing skills. Those emerged as winner in different weapons include (1) Ist Position in AK-47, Gh Hassan-SP JKPS (Dy.Commandant IRP-23rd Bn); (2) Ist position in Pistol, Ashiq Hussain Tak-SSP(Dy.commandant IRP-6th Bn); (3) 1st Position INSAS Rifle. Sgct. Faroq Ahmad IRP 23 BN; (4) 1st Position JVPC HC Surinder Singh JKAP 14th BN; and (5) Over all Ist position Sgct. Farooq Ahmad No.227/IRP-23rd Bn.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various officers of police, reflecting their commitment towards continuous training and excellence. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the resolve to continue organizing such events in the future for overall professional development.
