Srinagar, Jan 4: The third phase of the Orientation-cum-Refresher Course for in-service Youth Services & Sports (YSS) officials, focusing on the disciplines of Table Tennis and Badminton, concluded successfully Sunday with an award ceremony at the Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Centre, Wazir Bagh, Srinagar.
The programme, as per DYSS statement was organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Srinagar, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from YSS officials representing all eight sports zones of District Srinagar.
The refresher course was aimed at updating officials with the latest trends, rules, and modern coaching techniques in the respective disciplines, thereby enhancing their professional competence and effectiveness at the grassroots level.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Nodal Officer, Mohammad Shafi Wani, along with Mir Fayaz Ahmad, Incharge Activities, DYSSO Srinagar, who appreciated the commitment and active involvement of the participants.
They highlighted the importance of continuous professional development in promoting sports culture and improving the quality of sports administration and coaching within the district.
To acknowledge their zeal, dedication, and enthusiasm towards sports, participating officials were awarded merit certificates during the ceremony.
The event concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the departmentโs commitment to capacity building and the overall development of sports in the region.
