Two martial art players from Sopore in Baramulla district have bagged medals in the 3rd ASSKA International open Karate championship -2017 that was held at Kangra, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
In the championship 21 year old Aijaz Majeed Lone of Tujar Shareef Sopore bagged gold medal while as 8-yearl old boy Murtaza Khan of Nowpora Sopore bagged silver medal.
Aijaz who has been training in Amin Martial Art academy Nowpora Sopore beat players from Srilanka, Bangladesh, Japan and Nepal for winning the gold. Murtaza khan won silver medal in Under -25 kg. The championship was organized by Asian Shito -Ryu sports Karate-Do Association.
