Srinagar, Jan 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) unveiled its annual calendar 2026 at a function in Srinagar.
The event was attended by Chief Engineer, Mechanical and Hospital Engineering Department (M&HED), Kashmir, Bodraj, and Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Public Health Engineering (PHE), Rakesh Kumar Gupta, JKMEGA team led by its president, Firdous Ahad Bhat, along with a large gathering of senior engineers and members of the association.
Other attendees included Superintending Engineer, I&FC Circle Srinagar, Manmohan Singh, Superintending Engineer, PHE Mechanical (North), Muhammad Iqbal Kirmani, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers, and field staff.
The JKMNEGA calendar 2026 showcases a striking collection of photographs highlighting the vital public services rendered by the Mechanical Engineering wing, underscoring its significant role in infrastructure development and public welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, JKMEGA President said that this calendar was a small gist of the great dedication and commitment shown by Mechanical Engineers in public service, reaffirming the association’s commitment to dedicated public service while adapting to the evolving demands of a modern, mechanised world.
The JKMEGA dedicated this year’s annual calendar to Jatin Kamal and Ajay Sharma, Superintending Engineers (Mechanical), in recognition of their services on the occasion of their superannuation.
The speakers fondly recalled both for their valuable contribution in public service as Mechanical engineers, especially Jatin Kamal’s distinguished career, describing him as an exceptional technocrat and a compassionate human being.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Engineers paid tributes to the retired engineers and lauded the pivotal role of engineers in nation-building, reaffirming their resolve to strengthen service delivery and contribute meaningfully to public welfare.
The event concluded on a note of pride, gratitude, and renewed commitment to professionalism, integrity, and excellence in public service.
