Srinagar, May 09: The Jammu-Srinagar national highway reopened for two-way traffic on Friday after being closed due to landslides yesterday.

“Passenger traffic is plying from both sides. However, HMVs (stranded) are plying towards Srinagar on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44),” said a traffic police official.

He advised the commuters to follow lane discipline.

The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) was closed at multiple locations in Ramban district yesterday following heavy rains and landslides.

The affected areas included Trishul Morh and Seri Chamba, where landslides blocked the movement of vehicles, disrupting traffic on both sides.
