The government on Sunday said that regularisation of 60,000 casual labourers and daily-rated workers will begin immediately after the budget session, beginning January 2, concludes.
Local news gathering agency KNS quoted finance minister HaseebDrabu as saying that the formal SRO on regularisation of casual labourers and daily-rated workers has already been issued but the actual regularisation hasn’t been started as yet. “The government is studying the cases and will issue orders of regularisation of once the budget session is over,” Drabu said.
In the first phase, he said that the government will issue regularisation orders of land-donors and ITI-trained persons, followed by others. (KNS)
