Had inputs about possible militant strike: DGP

Director general of police Shesh Paul Vaid said on Sunday that the police “already had inputs” about possible militant strikes in Kashmir and “due to alertness of forces, it seems that the militants involved in CRPF camp attack in Lethpora didn’t get the desired target.”

“Yes we had reliable inputs about possible militant strikes for past four days. Since our men and other forces remained alert, it looks like that the militants who stormed the CRPF training school at Lethpora didn’t get the target of their choice,” Vaid told reporters at the police control room here.

A source in the police said that Kashmir range inspector general of police had already sent a communiqué to the district police chiefs about the inputs of a possible militant strike “given the movement of militants in Qazigund and Hyderpora areas of Anantnag and Srinagar districts respectively.”
