Jammu, Dec 25: A delegation of land donors associated with the Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC) Department, Jammu, on Thursday met with Jal Shakti Minister Javed Ahmed Rana and submitted a memorandum seeking resolution of their demands.
The delegation, as per an official statement, apprised the Minister that they have been working with the Irrigation & Flood Control Department Jammu in lieu of land donated by them for creation of vital irrigation and flood control infrastructure. Highlighting their long-standing association and contribution, the land donors requested for a considered resolution of their pending issues.
The Minister assured the delegation that all their concerns are being examined carefully. He stated that the issues would be addressed in a phased manner by the current dispensation, in accordance with the existing rules. The delegation was comprised of land donors which was led by A Attri, retired DIG besides Vijay Lochan and M K Rana, among others.
