Srinagar, Mar 23: The District Anantnag Ball Badminton Championship wrapped up successfully at High School Batangoo, showcasing intense competition and growing enthusiasm for the sport.
As per a release issued, the event organised by the Anantnag Ball Badminton Association in collaboration with the J&K Ball Badminton Association under the aegis of the J&K Sports Council. The two-day tournament (March 18-19) saw participation from 12 teams in both boys’ and girls’ categories.
The closing ceremony was graced by prominent guests and officials, with the chief guest being Rameez Khanday (Whiz Kids School Anantnag), the guest of honour being Bashir Ahmad (Manager Sports Stadium Anantnag), the district secretary, Saahil, the organising secretary, Adil Batangoo, and several respected coaches and officials.
The presence of the officials and guests added prestige to the event, encouraging young players to pursue excellence in sports.
The tournament featured intense matches, with players demonstrating remarkable skill, strategy, and teamwork. Spectators witnessed thrilling rallies and competitive spirit, making the event a true celebration of ball badminton.
The successful execution of the championship was largely credited to the dedicated efforts of Adil Batangoo, the organiser secretary, whose commitment and meticulous planning ensured a smooth and well-managed tournament. His efforts, along with the support of the Anantnag Ball Badminton Association, played a key role in providing young players with a competitive platform to showcase their skills. Adil’s contributions were acknowledged by both players and officials, reflecting his passion for promoting ball badminton in the region.
