Jammu, Dec 30: The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, has appointed Sarvesh Rai, an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the AGMUT cadre (1991 batch), as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force for the Jammu and Kashmir segment of the AGMUT cadre.
According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Rai will head the forest force in Jammu and Kashmir in his new role, overseeing forest administration, conservation initiatives and wildlife management in the Union Territory.
Rai is currently posted as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
