New Delhi, Dec 30: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2026 began on December 30, 2025, at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantt with the traditional Sarv Dharm Pooja.
The month-long camp will feature inter-directorate competitions and events, including the Best Cadet Competition, small arms firing, participation in the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, and flag area designing.
A total of 2,406 cadets, including 898 girl cadets from 28 states and eight Union Territories, are taking part this year, the highest participation so far. Cadets and officers from 25 friendly foreign countries will also join the celebrations under the Youth Exchange Programme. Director General NCC Lieutenant General Virendra Vats welcomed the cadets and congratulated them on their selection, urging them to uphold values of character, integrity, teamwork and selfless service in the spirit of ‘Nation First’. The camp, in line with the NCC motto of ‘Unity and Discipline’, aims to promote training, cultural exchange and leadership while fostering patriotism among cadets.
