Srinagar, Jan 3: J&K Police have traced a woman who was missing from November 17 and reunited with her family in Kulgam.
On November 26, Police station Kulgam received a written complaint from an individual stating therein that his spouse is missing from a rented room at Amnoo, Kulgam since November 17. Accordingly, a missing report was lodged in Police Station Kulgam and investigation was initiated, said a police press release.
Subsequently, massive search was launched by a police team under the guidance/supervision of DySP Hqrs Kulgam and SHO Police Station Kulgam, it said.
After strenuous efforts and utilising all available technical/human resources, the woman was traced from Jalandar in Punjab. After completion of all legal/medical formality she was handed over to her relatives. Family members of the traced missing woman have applauded the efforts by J&K police for prompt response in tracing her out, said police.
